Google Announces it Will No Longer “Trust” China’s Official Web Registrar

In a post on the company’s official security blog, Google announced it will no longer accept the registrations of new HTTPS certificates from China’s official web registrar, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC). Going forward, CNNIC’s existing HTTPS certificates will still be valid, but new ones will not be issued for the foreseeable future. The CNNIC is currently working to re-certify itself through Google’s Certificate Transparency process, at which point Google may again allow the Center to issue HTTPS certificates. Twitter Unveils Tweet-Seeking Curator Tool

Twitter has announced a new tool called Curator that is designed to help companies search and curate tweets and find specific conversations or opinions on a given topic. IgnitionOne: Q1 US Paid Search Growth Strongest In 3 Years

The first quarter of 2015 was a strong one for the US paid search market. Year-over-year growth of 26 percent marks the highest increase in three years. Advertising spend share on Bing Ads rose to 26.9 percent compared to Google’s 73.1 percent share. Facebook Introduces New App for Creating Videos with Friends

An after-hours side project has turned into the latest product from Facebook, called Riff, which allows you to create and collaborate on videos with Facebook friends. You start by creating a video, adding a hashtag, and uploading it. From there your friends can view it, add to it if they wish, and send it along to their friends.
